Annie Bloch is the guest for Episode 48. She is active as a contemporary music organist, as well as a guitarist and vocalist. She recorded the album “I Depend” with the tentet she founded in 2022. Additionally, in 2025, she released the album “The Mendelssohn-Projekt” with cellist Emily Wittbrodt; performing as an organist, she presented original compositions and improvisations based on Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Prelude in C minor, Op. 37, No. 1.
In this session, we improvised by adding, densifying, and stripping back sonic textures and layers.
