“Salsura is a project about the social dimension of Salsa Caleña (from Cali, Colombia) and I started it last year to unite my passion for dance and the history of my hometown. In this first year and through workshops, radio shows and beginners classes Salsura has created spaces for sharing the joy of music and dancing that are truthful to how we experience them in our culture, trying to create spaces safe from the exotization view that the global north usually imposes upon our dancing culture.”
