Soundgalerie #8 Happy or Sad Part 1

We met up with a friend to talk about music and listen to tracks together. We dive into a little music theory, but also just talk about how we feel and show each other tracks we like. Why does it sound happy, sad or stressful to us? What are actually consonances, what are dissonances? And to which songs did we used to cry ourselves to sleep?
Among other things, we talk about film music, Bach, Mahler, the performance situation in the cinema and in the concert hall, and compare Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons with Max Richter’s new arrangement.
