Tehran-based Salar Bil is a young, queer, nonbinary Iranian
designer who has been making waves in the country’s mostly
underground and unsupported fashion scene for years, cited
by Iran’s press as a transgressive and a threat to the state.
Despite extended lockdowns, the global
economic downturn, and economic sanctions
being imposed by the US, UK, and other nations on Iran, Salar Bil has not stopped being active in the art scene and is currently working on their new collection called „Bandar“.
