Notiz für die Welt danach #127

live from the Sudan Solidarity Event by Sudan Uprising Germany

Sudan currently has the largest internally displaced population in the world, with over 11 million people uprooted from their homes, including those affected by the war that began in April 2023. A staggering 25 million people, half of whom are children, are facing catastrophic hunger and urgently need food, shelter, and medical assistance. Since April 2023, more than 2 million people have fled the country to escape the ongoing violence. Why is the world silent?

Berlin is home to a large Sudanese diaspora, many of whom have family and friends enduring daily atrocities and hardship back in Sudan. We cannot sit by and watch this humanitarian crisis unfold. We must unite in solidarity with Sudan and raise awareness of their plight.

Please join us for an evening with Sudan Uprising Germany on July 17 at Vierte Welt from 6-10 pm. The event will feature a talk and short film by Sudan Uprising, along with Sudanese food and music from the Sudan Revolution playlist.

All donations go to Al Balilia Community Aid Kitchens in Sudan.
