Jordan White (AUS) started “Sound Ideas” in 2021 to stay active during Corona – learning SuperCollider, composing electronic music and releasing it every two weeks. Jordan also invited a few guests including Philipp Rumsch and Markus Rom (Oh No Noh). Over time the music has changed a lot – what started as pure algorithmic composition now includes live coding, jazz recordings and Jordan’s slow investigations into southern African mbira music.
“Sound Ideas” is, to be honest, still a bit of a work in progress. But it’s helping Jordan stay busy and keep releasing music, now once a month. Hopefully it is, at least sometimes, enjoyable, or at least interesting!
