ZENA presents fisting*sisters #18
Orbit der Yünger*innen
The actresses Johanna Dähler and Daniela Ruocco created the multidisciplinary performance label fisting*sisters three years ago. The label explores somewhere between performing arts, drama, spoken word and music. Their most recent work is a musical-performative celebration of feminist theories and mindsets, collective power, vulgarity and professional dilettantism. Two fictional characters explore the power of vocal techniques between singing and speaking to negotiate the audibility and visibility of FLINTA* voices in music and other cultural settings.
Johanna Dähler grew up in Germany. She studied theatre and dance studies at the Universitat Leipzig and the FU Berlin. Then she switched to the applied side and studied acting at Bern Universtity of the Arts where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Expanded Theatre. Currently she is engaged at Junges Theater Heidelberg. What drives her are interpersonal energies, injustice, the utopia of a collective life and work.
Daniel Ruocco grew up in Germany, Italy and Uruguay. She studied acting at Bern Universtity of the Arts and graduated with a Master of Arts in Expanded Theatre. She works polyglot (de/es/eng/fra/it) and across disciplines in diverse constellations as an actress, performer, artistic director, co-author and concept inventor. Her main interest is in performative formats and process-oriented ways of working, autonomous work structures are essential.
Annie Aries is a Swiss-Philippine composer and musician based in Bern, Switzerland. In the world of modular synthesizers and patch cords, Annie explores, performs and composes music and opens up sonic spaces between electronica and experimental sounds. In her works, she creates minimalistic sound textures and recurring rhythmic patterns that organically interweave, distance and disappear.
