Zofia „Sofinka“ Imiela is a polish pianist, vocalist and composer. With variety of projects from a material inspired by traditional polish music to alternative pop album, traveling within different styles, but never limited by any genre, she created her own musical signature.

„Quite honestly sometimes there’s just so much I’d like to say I don’t know where to start. I feel like since I was a kid I struggled to understand the inequality and misrepresentation, or lack of representation I felt in so many areas as a queer women growing up in poland, as a woman in general working in the music industry, as a pianist working with ensembles made in 90% of men and I just keep being almost kind of lost for words, because I think at some very naive and childish level I just don’t understand the rules and the inequality around me and it makes me sometimes make myself smaller at work and on the streets to accommodate the men around me and sometimes louder at work and on the streets to prove to myself that if I want it hard enough I can still get to be who I am as loudly as I want to be and I just wish that would come easier and less scary to everyone and for that to be normal and not matter.“
