#22 “Processes” w/ Joaquin Ortega

This episode’s guest is Joaquin Ortega. Born in Argentina, he studied guitar and cello at the National University of Rosario and jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Rosario.
 In 2012, his studies in composition make him take a detour to the music of Anthony Braxton, John Cage and Morton Feldman. In 2018 he moves to France to further his artistic research, and graduates from the Institut Supérieur des Arts de Toulouse (ISDAT) in 2021. Currently, he actively participates in the improvised music scene in France with his solo and the duo La Grotte with Rémy Gouffault, he also works with the dance company Ô Hazart.

 

In this set of music we improvised with different possibilities of processing out guitar signals, tonal and frequencially.
