This episode’s guest is musician, performance artist, film and music producer and painter TinTin Patrone.
TinTin’s interest lies in the connection between music, art, sound and experimental gesture. She pays particular attention to the visual elements of music, the tension between conceptual ideas and physical existence, and how we relate to music as individuals and as a society.
The music in this episode is inspired by autosuggestion tapes. Through autosuggestion, a person trains their subconscious. It is done through self-hypnosis or repeated self-affirmations and is said to affect the psyche. We used different, strange self-optimization cassettes as inspiration and sample basis.
